Seasonal campers may buy Comcast services for their seasonal site, including high-speed internet, tv programming and security. Comcast lines are run throughout the property to allow seasonal campers to buy short term services without the need for a long term contract or satellite dish. Water recreation is a big part of the Fish Lake Beach experience! Fish Lake Beach campers may use the heated pool, kiddie pool, hot tub and lake for no charge. Our pool(s) and hot tub are for campers only. Pool Hours: Daily 9-11 am adults only, 11 am-8 pm family time; Closed 5pm-6 pm. They both open Memorial Day weekend if the temperature is 70 degrees or above.
Our lake and beach are open to the public for a daily admission per person. Fish Lake is monitored by the Lake County Health Department Memorial Day-Labor Day. Group Picnic guests may swim in the lake, rent a boat or go fishing.

Yes. Fishing licenses are required by the Illinois Department of Natural Resources (IDNR) for individuals 15 years old and over. You may purchase a fishing license at Fish Lake Beach at the Registration office with a driver’s license, previous license or student ID. Cash only.
Shore fishing is permitted from 6 am-11 pm Monday-Friday. Fishing from a rowboat is permitted until 7 pm.
Our Overnight Camping section features 4 park models to rent for as few as 2 days or as long as 2 weeks. Each is equipped with TV, wifi, kitchen, sofa and chairs, deck, grill, central air conditioning, picnic table, parking for two cars, grill and more! We do not rent tents or other recreational vehicles. Cruise America offers RV rentals.
Campers may bring their own boat for a $5 launch fee. Non-campers must pay the daily admission plus $5 fee to launch a boat on Fish Lake. We have rowboat, stand up paddle board, paddle boat and single or tandem kayak rentals from 7 am-7 pm on weekends and 8 am-7 pm on weekdays. Boats must be on shore by 7 pm.
Overnight camping rates are based on 2 adults & 2 kids or less. Additional occupants are $6 per person, per night. Maximum occupancy: 6 total. 4 adults per site max. Kids considered 17 and under. Note: Kids 6 and under are FREE but count in maximum occupancy. Additional occupants at Rentals are $10 per person, per night. Maximum occupancy: 6 total. 4 adults per site max. Most tent sites can accommodate 1 large tent OR 2 small (2-3) person tents. Rates allow for ONE tent, a 2nd tent will be charged $10 per night. Our security team keeps tabs on additional cars or tents or occupants on each site and the credit card on file will be charged without notice. If secondary tents or canopies obstruct or encroach on neighboring sites security will require their removal. Tent sites E4, E5, E6, E7 have a 16×16 ft.area to place the tent, along with space for a car, picnic table fire ring. Tent sites V8-V15 are NOT laid out with a specific area for the tent. The total number of occupants of any overnight campsite cannot exceed 6; 4 of those may be adults. A tent may not be put up on seasonal sites or RV sites
Concessions are directly across from the beach. Their hours are 8am-8pm. The menu for Concessions is shown on our CampersApp.
Campers and their guests must abide by Fish Lake Beach overnight camping rules; many are posted around the resort and on this website, however, we require all campers sign a copy of the overnight camping rules as part of the registration process. Our rules cover common sense guidelines, like quiet hours, so that all campers may enjoy an environment that is peaceful and safe. Instacart is an online service that offers delivery and pick up grocery service from nearby stores, Jewel and Aldi. They also have a smartphone app. This can be especially helpful for seasonal and overnight campers. Jewel grocery store and Aldi grocery store are both located approximately 3 miles north on Route 12.
Yes! Recycling is encouraged. A large recycling dumpster is located by main bathhouse near the pavilion. Large green recycling receptacles are throughout the resort, beach and common areas for bottles and cans.
Yes! Campfires are permitted in the fire pit or fire ring on each campsite. Fires must be kept under 2 ft high. Firewood may be purchased at concessions, across from the beach. Campers may bring their own firewood however, we sell bundles for $6 and 15 split logs for $10.
Alcohol is permitted at the beach and campsites. Glass bottles or containers are prohibited at the beach, please. We do not sell alcohol.
No. Individuals under 21 years old may not camp without parent supervision on property at all times. Individuals that wish to use a rental must be over 25 years old.
The overnight camping section is lined with mature trees, allowing for a combination of shade and sunlight. We do not promise satellite reception as part of the camping experience. We offer free wifi in the monthly, rental and overnight section.
Although park models occupy some seasonal sites and may appear to be permanent, they are movable. Seasonal campers with park models keep them on the site year after year to serve as a summer home. Some seasonal families use their own motor home, RV or travel trailer to serve their summer lodging their needs. Each seasonal site has water, electric and sewer connections however, we are NOT open year round and the water is turned off at the end of the season, October 16th.
