End of Season 2024: Bulk and Large Item Disposal

Do not leave large or bulk items in or at dumpsters. All dumpsters have video surveillance. Bulk items are put in large roll-off dumpsters in our field; we pay to have those roll-off dumpsters emptied when full. Leaving bulk items in dumpsters takes up space for others to dispose of garbage. If you have large or bulk items call the store to get a quote. Once you pay, our staff will pick up the items from your site and put them in the roll-off. The service fee is always reasonable.

The campground no longer has recycling dumpsters.  This was announced and communicated by email January 9, 2024 and again April 15, 2024.

Handouts were given to seasonals as they arrived at the gate in the spring, and posters were published in common areas of the campground.

This decision was made after years of pleading with campers to separate bulk items and dispose of recycling items ONLY in recycling dumpsters. The campground was fined in 2023 for repeatedly having mixed garbage, yard waste, and recyclables in the recycling dumpster.

FLB staff will make a courtesy call to anyone who disposes of large or bulk items at our dumpsters, giving the person an opportunity to remove the item/s instead of being funded $200.00.  If the items are not removed the fine will be applied to the campers account.
