Important Reminder: Do Not Manipulate Site Utilities

8/4/24  Last night we received a call from a seasonal camper who reported their electricity was ‘out’.  Our facilities staff was informed and responded to immediately. Staff discovered that the breaker was ‘taped up’. This is UNCCEPTABLE and DANGEROUS.  They proceeded to remove the melted and burned-up electric components and built a new electric box to restore the electricity for the seasonal camper.

The outage was caused by the breaker being forced into the up position and taped. 

If your breaker is tripping it is doing it for a good reason, to help protect you and your property.

If there is an ongoing electrical issue, it will immediately trip again. DO NOT FORCE it into the on position with tape or otherwise.

Utilities. Licensees must not manipulate or alter the licensed site’s electric, water, or sewer.

If you experience problems with any utility, report the problem to Fish Lake Beach for evaluation first. Other parties may not evaluate and fix or attempt to fix Fish Lake Beach utilities. All utilities must be kept accessible and unobstructed. Your electric box is labeled with your site number; do not plug it into any other electric box.
