We maintain Catch & Release status from May 1st through mid-June to allow for spawing. After that catch and keep within limits is permitted.
A professional analysis of Fish Lake in the fall of 2017 gave us an in depth understanding of our lakes habitat. It revealed that our fish population is growing, in part, due to the catch and release status we imposed after the winter of 2013 caused a fish kill. As part of our sustainability efforts we’ve launched several initiatives including stocking the lake with fingerling northern pike, encouragement of harvest and removal of carp and restoring catch and keep status every mid-June, after the spawning period. Before mid-June, we allow fishing on a catch and release basis. Please abide by our catch and keep limits below.

Participate in our campers only Carp Fishing Tournaments! Participation is free, rowboats and lifejacket use will also be free (an adult must sign a waiver and occupy the boat) PLUS we’ll provide a bag to hold carp you catch! You can also buy corn (the preferred bait for carp) for $1.
The heaviest bag of carp will win a fishing pole. NOTE: Participants over 15 must have a current IDNR license.
